The mission of the VV Family Center staff is to support and strengthen our families by offering parenting education, access to resources, and leadership opportunities. We hold ourselves to high standards in serving students and families in our community. We look forward to serving you throughout the school year.

  • Community Action Marin - Community Action Marin is a social service agency serving and assisting low-income Marin residents in achieving a life of quality based on self-sufficiency. The agency currently operates 15 programs covering a variety of needs from childcare to energy assistance, family needs and mental health issues.

    Adopt a Family of Marin - Adopt A Family provides subsidies for rental assistance, security deposits, utility payments, food vouchers, and auto repair. By providing basic assistance to families, they help prevent the dangerous slide into homelessness for many families who would otherwise be without help. They work with parents to develop goals, make action plans, and follow through toward a better life.

    Canal Alliance - Canal Alliance is a community-based organization that works to transform community and create global change on a local level. There are four pillars to its vision of community transformation: Health and Social Justice, Economic Vitality, Civic Leadership, and Educational Equity, Parenting Education. Canal Alliance offers a food pantry and toiletry supplies.

    Multicultural Center of Marin - The Multicultural Center of Marin works with diverse immigrant and underserved communities of Marin County in advancing their social, cultural, and economic well-being through self-empowerment programs. They offer contact information for different agencies to get access to food, rental assistance, and housing.

    SF-Marin Food Bank - Families can pick up free, weekly groceries at many locations in Marin. Items include fresh produce, protein, and shelf stable items. Please be prepared to bring your photo ID and a proof of address if the address on your ID is not current. Go to foodlocator.sfmfoodbank.org to find your closet location.

    St. Vincent’s de Paul - St. Vincent's offers free hot meals for breakfast and lunch. 

    Breakfast is now available 6:30AM-8:00 AM

    Lunch is now available  11 AM-1PM

    Due to social distancing and safety requirements, all meals will be to-go style bags to take with you. As always, St. Vincent's NEVER requires money, identification or proof of immigration status in order for you to receive food.

    Marin Child Care Council - Marin Child Care Council provides help by connecting families with child care providers. Their Resource & Referral team keeps an active database of child care providers in Marin County that includes family child cares, centers, preschools and nursery schools. Their Resource & Referral specialist meets one-on-one with families to provide referrals that fit their unique circumstances.
