Picking Your Child Up:
As a parent, you want what’s best for your child. Sometimes that means needing to pick them up early from school for appointments, family emergencies, or other obligations. If you’re wondering about the rules around doing so, you’ve come to the right place.
If you’re short on time, here’s the quick answer: You can pick your child up early from school, but you’ll need to sign your child out in the Main Office.
Timing Your Arrival:
When picking up your child from school early, it is essential to consider the timing of your arrival. Students will not be called to the office until a parent or gaurdian is present.
Arriving during peak dismissal times may result in longer wait times and potential congestion in the school premises.Students must be picked up 30 minutes prior to dismissal. VV may not be able to honor any requests after. It is a good practice to notify the school in advance regarding your early pickup plans to ensure a smooth process.
Required Documentation:
In order to pick your child up early, you may be required to provide documentation to the school. This can include a note from a doctor, a court order, or any other relevant paperwork.
